Purpose: Toastmasters speech contests are public events that are conducted professionally. The aim of this training is to unpack the rules and guidelines behind speech contests. It will assist speakers to hone their speaking skills and raise awareness of the judging criteria, while supporting TM’s who are keen to understand the rules and processes to be a contest judge.

Where: Banyo Library, 284 St Vincent’s Rd, Banyo, [close to Banyo train station]

Cost: Free – bring a plate to share lunch and a donation to cover costs of morning tea

At the recent Metro Division training day we were treated to an entertaining, informative and idea generating session conducted by Mark Hunter assisted by Monica O’Rourke with her demonstration of teamwork using balloons and a table.
A great deal of audience participation was encouraged which generated some great ideas and useful commentary by Mark.
